Red Solo Cup

I feel like I'm trying as hard as I can to avoid drawing a self-portrait of myself. I genuinely just do not enjoy myself as a subject, but I guess I just have to get over it sooner or later, regardless of how much I hate it.

I decided to work on a bit of color today since I have poor color theory. My predominant subject was a red solo cup. It was annoying to paint at first since I don't have much practice with oils, but I think in the it came out pretty nice.

Least I'm getting somewhere. I think.

    There is a good sense of the form here. The whites are a little bit too cool, maybe. The way you did the lip of the cup strikes me as being about right for all the whites.
